Team Dresch formed in 1993 with Donna Dresch, Jody Bleyle, Kaia Wilson and Marcéo Martinez. They were four young queers combining the brazennesshe Riot Grrrl/Punk sound with the dirge of grunge and a window into the LGBTQ+ experience, pioneering the Queercore movement in the Pacific Northwest. They released their debut album, Personal Best, in 1995. In 1996 Martinez left the band and Melissa York joined on drums and they recorded the album Captain My Captain. They went their separate ways in 1998 but reunited in 2004 and have been rocking together ever since, releasing new music and touring the world. Music this honest never gets old.
Andy Stokes has been sharing his soulful voice and musical mastery with the world for more than 3 decades. A two-time OMHOF inductee, with Cool’R and as a solo artist, Andy is known for his powerful vocals and live performances singing R&B. He has received airplay all over the world in recent years as well as has been touring all over North America. This has led Andy to earn the moniker “The Northwest King of Soul”.
The event will feature a live auction with autographed guitars from Patti Smith, Fleet Foxes, Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age and more. Proceeds from this event help support OMHOF’s music in the schools’ program as well as our scholarship programs. This year’s master of ceremonies will be the fabulous Tony Starlight.
