Oregon Music Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that Emily Wu, Juan Valdez, Trevor Johnson and Madison Booth are the recipients of the annual OMHOF College Scholarships. The scholarships, which cover a portion of college tuition costs, will be formally presented to each after their individual performances on the main stage at Jimmy Mak’s in Portland from 5-7pm on April 30, 2015. Aaron Meyer, professional classical crossover Violinist and OMHOF K-8 assembly instructor, and Danny Schauffler, professional Saxophonist with bands such as the “Crazy 8’s” and Portland high school Band Director.

The Oregon Music Hall of Fame (OMHOF) will hold a press conference on Tuesday July 15th at 5:30pm at Tony Starlight’s to announce the 2014 Inductees into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame.
Oregon Music News reports, the great keyboardist Janice Scroggins, inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame last year, died of an apparent heart attack around 6pm, Tuesday, May 27.
